Watch this video about semi-colons, colons and dashes:
Then, try this quiz.
Literacy
Read this extract from The Snow-Walker's Son by Catherine Fisher. You can listen to the extract here: https://soundcloud.com/talkforwriting/doors
Answer these questions in your books:
1. The door was the last one in the corridor. What does the use of the word 'last' tell you?
2. Re-read the opening (in bold). Where do you think this story is set? How can you tell?
3. What does the use of the word 'hefty' tell you about the iron chain? What clues does this give you about what's behind the door?
4. Darkness and a damp smell oozed through the black slit. How does this make you feel? Were you surprised by this description? Why?
5. What do you think happened next? Why?

To warm up, have a go at a Daily 10 Maths Challenge. Choose your own level of challenge and skill to practise. Have a few goes and see if you can beat your previous score. Or you could challenge someone else in your family!

First, watch this video and have a go at any of the questions in it: Tuesday's Maths Video
Then complete this worksheet: Tuesday's Maths Worksheet
(Don't forget that you can do this by writing the answers in your book or on a piece of paper - you don't need to print the sheet out.)
Then check your work against the answers: Tuesday's Maths Answers
Topic
R.E.

PSHE
Watch this video about Tayeb: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z63s34j.
Think about how you help your family. Who do you help? What do you do to help? How often do you help your family? How are you similar to Tayeb?
Draw and/or write about the ways in which you help your family.
Have a good day and remember to check the blog tomorrow!
