Rewrite each sentence below, replacing the conjunction with a semicolon. 

1. The boys were very excited because they were going bowling
2. On a hillside, the goats bleated loudly and the valley echoed with the sound.
3. John raced through the gates when he was running late for school.
4. Long shadows emerged through the streets as the sun was slowly setting.
5. The dog barked at his owner because he wanted to go for a walk.


Literacy

This is last week's family performance poem from Miss Davies. Can you learn it? If you have a ball and some outside space, you could add actions!











Word Aware

Write a list of five nouns, five adjectives and five verbs that could go with this picture. For example:

noun: broom
adjective: high
verb: soar

Term 5 - Literacy

 In Literacy, we read and wrote discussion texts about whether or not artefacts such as the Benin Bronzes should be returned to their countries of origin. To explore the issue, Year 6 took part in role-play activities and conscience alleys to share their opinions and understand how different people might feel about this topical issue. Year 6 showed great maturity in discussing this topic and were able to express their viewpoints with evidence and arguments to back themselves up.
