Topic

Geography

We're learning about the way that three different mountains are formed in today's lesson. Watch today's video and then make a labelled diagram of the way that the mountains in the video are formed. Or research an example of each type of mountain. Or complete this worksheet about the different types of mountain.

This factsheet might help you. Here are two examples of work that other children have made: example one; example two.

Art

Pick an activity from Tate Kids. A particular favourite of mine is Colour Walk!

Or, why not try mark making with coffee or painting with coffee?

Have a great day and remember to email us some photos of your work: year6.cabot@bristol-schools.uk

Term 5 - Literacy

In Literacy, we read and wrote discussion texts about whether or not artefacts such as the Benin Bronzes should be returned to their countries of origin. To explore the issue, Year 6 took part in role-play activities and conscience alleys to share their opinions and understand how different people might feel about this topical issue. Year 6 showed great maturity in discussing this topic and were able to express their viewpoints with evidence and arguments to back themselves up.
