Year 6 Reward Day

Year 6 have filled their class marble jar five times this year (which is pretty impressive, as there are almost 200 marbles)! Consequently, they earned themselves a whole-class reward day. They voted to have their reward day the day after the SATs ended. Throughout the day, children made cake pops with Miss N-R. In the morning, we had several games of football (with a special guest appearance from Mr Burton as goalie) and a brief game of tag rugby. After break, we worked on an art project. In the afternoon, we finished our cake pops off, had some iPad time, and had a very special treat, courtesy of Mr Burton: DOUGHNUTS! We all tried to do the do-not-lick-your-lips-challenge... It was a lot harder than we thought it would be!  We gave out spare doughnuts to some of the adults who have supported us this year. Thank you to everyone who has helped us!

Matilda

A mixed group of 30 Year 5 and 6 children had the amazing opportunity of going to see Matilda at the Brisol Hippodrome a few weeks ago! We are so grateful to National Friendly, who volunteer to read with our Year 5 children every week, for purchasing the tickets for us and arranging everything. We had such a good time! Our favourite bit was when Miss Trunchbull picks up a girl and... ...we're not telling you! You'll have to go to see Matilda to find out for yourself!
